I love watermelon!

This weekend when we went to Central Market, they had watermelons on sale. We thought that sounded quite delicious and decided to buy some. This is the first time John has had watermelon...we've introduced him to a lot of fruits (bananas, blueberries, blackberries, cantelope, melon, mango, strawberries, papaya, pineapple, and the list goes on and on), but we hadn't bought watermelon yet. When we got home, Barry sliced it up and John LOVED it! I think he ate his weight in watermelon!! Here are a few pictures to enjoy his first watermelon feast! (notice the watermelon juice that has dripped down his shirt...he was one sticky mess after eating that!)

He is quite proud of the watermelon in this picture!!

MMMM...enjoying the watermelon!

This is what a full mouth looks like after inhaling a slice of watermelon!

Some cute stuff

Mommy bought John some Thomas The Train sunglasses this weekend and he LOVED them! He actually kept them on his face and would walk around smiling. So cute!

Ok, so here's where mommy will get in trouble from daddy. I am very aware of things that seem girly and steer clear of the baby blue pinstriped overalls with bears on them so that daddy doesn't think I'm making John too girly. But sometimes things just kind of happen upon themselves without mommy intending for it too...and magically the camera is handy because remember...mommy didn't "intend" for that moment to happen. heh! heh! So here it goes...I was getting ready this weekend and daddy was at work (boo! on weekend working)....so I put John in the saucer so I could try and get ready without chasing him around...well the saucer was close to my bathroom cabinets so I let him reach into one of the drawers and play with the stuff. It happened to be a drawer that contains hair stuff...ponytail holders, hair clips, head bands, etc. Well John liked mommy's head bands and pulled out a few to play with...I told him "those are head bands you wear on your head" and he proceeded to put one on his head. HE was quite proud when he got it on his head so mommy had to capture the moment. My defense to daddy is "at least he didn't grab the pink one!" :) (notice the dark blue one around his neck...not like a necklace at all daddy, more like cool man jewelry, like how the man purse is so trendy!) LOL

I've shared this photo with a few family members, but John just LOVES Christmas and anything Christmas related. We still have some Christmas stuff in the garage...hmh, guess we should put that in the attic soon :)....so when we went to the garage this weekend, John pointed at santa and said his name and then gave him a big hug...it was just SO CUTE!! Mommy is planning to put all the Christmas decorations back up this weekend...LOL!

Info on the blog I just posted

Ok, so I used this slideshow creator for the first time and I really like the outcome, which you can see in the blog below. However, the whole time I was creating the slideshow it kept playing this one song over and over. I figured it was just advertising that song or something so I didn't think much about it....UNTIL I posted the slideshow and the song went with it!!! So, if you are looking at the blog with sound, then I need you to know that I did not intentionally post a song with the words "grab my body baby" in it while showing cute pictures of my son playing with a friend's children. I have not been able to detach the song or figure out where you even have a choice to remove the song. It took awhile to upload all those photos so I really didn't want to redo it...so enjoy the lovely R&B background. Gosh, you would think I'm computer illerate! LOL! (side note....Leah Stolman, where are you...I need your help with this thing! )

Trip to Houston to visit the Waterloo's

I came back in and edited the slide show to remove that silly song...then I ended up removing the actual slideshow..go figure! You can still get to the pictures though...click on "view all images" to see the pictures...still new at this slide thing!

Some cute photos

I was going through old photos this weekend and there were a few cute ones I wanted to share. Enjoy!

I love this one of John and his cousin William.
They are just so cute together!

Ok, what mommy doesn't like froggy pj's???

Once again, playing in the cabinet! I promise
we do buy John toys. :)
