John's 3rd Birthday!

John turned three on July 15, 2010.  I can't believe how quickly time flies! His birthday was on a Thursday, so we had a fun celebration of Chuck E Cheese, outside play time, and opening presents.  Here's some pictures to walk you through the fun.

Mount Nebo Trip

Every year in July, we head to Mount Nebo in Arkansas for a family reunion.  This is a reunion of people on Barry's dad's mother's side of the family...whew...that's a lot to say.  :) We have really been enjoying this trip the past few years and having John be a part of it all has been so much fun.  He gets a lot of quality time with his Aunt Alicia and Uncle Mike and their kiddos...Rachel, Jacob & William.  William is three weeks younger than John so they are experiencing a lot of the same things in life.  I captured a few fun photos this year...enjoy!

John & Lily - Fun in the summer

John & Lily are the best of friends, as you've probably seen from previous blogs.  We try to get them together often so they can play and have fun.  Right now with it being so hot outside, water fun is about the only thing you can do outside, so me and Leah have created some fun water moments for the kiddos.  Enjoy the photos! I know I have!

Summer Fun!

We have been enjoying summertime fun lately at the splash park near our house.  John has a blast running around and just enjoying the water fun.  Thought I would share some of his "action" shots.  :) 

   

 

Snow in Texas!!!

I have been meaning to post more pictures from the snow fun in Texas.  We had more snow than I've ever seen here and John had a blast!!! Now, before you look at the pictures, you must understand that it is not common to have snow like that here and I was not properly prepared with snow attire for my little boy...mainly snow shoes.  So, being the creative person I am (yeah right!), I opted for the fashionable Target bags to place around John's shoes to waterproof them.  I must say, they worked quite well, but I was chuckling at how pitiful he looked trying to run in those things.  Oh well, John stayed super happy and didn't mind his ghetto snow boots.  :)

Big Boy Bed!

In January, we finally decided it was time to transition out of the crib and into a big boy bed.  We had talked with John for a few months telling him that he could get his big boy bed when he started wearing underwear all the time.  Well, once we dangled that bit of information out there, he took to potty training like a champ! He was wearing big boy underwear every day in January with hardly any accidents.  So, the front of the crib was removed and his big boy bed remained.  Here's a few pictures of that first encounter.  :)
