Lily and John - beam me up!
These are pictures from a few weeks ago but they are just too cute not to share. Me and Lily's mom giggle at some of the ones we take because our little kiddos won't be still so one of them looks like they're beaming in or out like star trek. :). It's just fun to see then acting goofy and enjoying themselves. :)

How to watch a race with daddy
This past weekend I had a half-marathon race to gear up my run training. I'm planning to do the White Rock half-marathon in December and then the Austin marathon in February (I think :)). Anyway, while mommy was out running, daddy and John found a great way to pass the time...the playground! When I finished my race, John was just going on and on about "I went swinging mommy...I went backwards!" He was beaming with pride and I think these photos will show you why...daddy was giving him a mighty push on the swing! My favorite picture is the last one..just look at that smile...he was LOVING it! .jpg)

Stretching with daddy
John has started doing the sweetest thing lately. When Barry gets back from a workout, he gets excited and tells daddy it's time to stretch. So they go get the mat and stretching gear and John mimicks daddy. This time, Barry was stretching against the wall and John wanted to join in. :). Mommy loves seeing her boys together :)

Such a Sweet Boy!
Well, unfortunately, this isn't a blog full of pictures...there was just a sweet moment this weekend that I wanted to share. I had John in my arms talking to him and he saw my necklace and wanted to wear it. Recently, I had been trying to teach him that certain things were for girls so as to deter his recent love of pink, mommy's makeup, his fascination with my hair rollers, and his constant desire to put on my lipstick after he sees me doing it! Here was my perfect moment to teach him that necklaces (typically...since I don't want to make Mr. T, Tony Soprano, or any other "tough guy" jewelry wearing man upset :))...anyway, that necklaces are for girls. So, I said John is a boy, he doesn't wear necklaces, then I said mommy is a girl and she wears necklaces. My sweet little boy just looked innocently into my eyes and frankly stated "you're not a girl...you're a mommy!" I just melted...that was one of the sweetest things to come out of his mouth...I'll take being a mommy over just a plain jane girl any day! Just wanted to share.
